Hi there. I’m Richard Heinrich, author of The Expat Blog.
In March 2015 my wife and I packed up our life in London, England and moved 5,351 miles across the Atlantic Ocean to San Francisco, California. Here, my wife works as a research scientist at UC San Francisco, one of the world’s leading centres for human health research and I… well, I am a “dependent spouse”.
The Expat Blog will tell our story of moving thousands of miles from home and attempting to get on in a new country. By telling this story, I hope that the blog will become a hub of news, features and advice for global nomads, wherever they may be.
